Temperatures have soared back into the 90s here in Washington D.C. A couple of other bloggers have mentioned wearing neutrals during this summer-like weather in order to "feel" toned down and a bit more like it's actually fall.
Today's Remix Rewear Restyle challenge at Caitlin's blog, Greater Than Rubies, features neutral ensembles...a perfect reason to experiment with toning it down for a more fall-like feel.
In order to add some interest to an all-neutral outfit, I tried not to be matchy-matchy and incorporated black, white, grey and cognac. I think the patterned shorts add spice to the ensemble as well.
My new necklace (a souvenir to myself from Iceland) was the perfect neutral accessory to complete the outfit!

Now that's my kind of souvenir! :) Great job making neutrals fun! I'm linking up, too!
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love your neutral fall outfit! And your hairstyle is adorable. I was contemplating chopping mine all off this summer but I chickened out!
DeleteI have these shorts too and I love them. They look great with your moccasins!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was a little nervous when I bought them because I wasn't sure what to pair them with...but I'm finding more combos than I thought! I've been checking your blog out for inspiration!
DeleteI bought my first Everlane tee just now! I followed your link when I bought it, so let me know if it worked!
ReplyDeleteOohh! So exciting! Which one did you get? I can't wait to see it on your blog! It hasn't shown-up in my "rewards" section but I'll keep me eyes peeled.
DeleteI got the v-neck in navy! It just arrived in the mail today, so I haven't had the chance to wear it, but you'll see it on the blog soon :)
