Create28: Polishing My Nails

We're switching things up today, on Day 9 of Create28: Lovely Summer Looks!  Instead of talking about clothing, we're discussing another important factor of personal style: Polishing My Nails.

Now admittedly, I'm more of a "go to the salon and get my nails done" kind of a girl.  I think it's a relatively affordable form of pampering, not to mention I'm terrible at painting my own nails.  However, a text exchange with my sister convinced me to try my hand at polishing my own nails this summer!

Based on my sister's rave reviews, I decided to give Orly Color Amp'd from Target a try!  You guys, this polish goes on super easy and it dries super fast!  I'm telling you, I love to paint outside the lines of my finger nails but my manicure was nearly perfect with this polish.  And I think that Art Walks is a lovely summer shade!

On top of easy application and speedy drying time, the color is extra shiny and stays on better than your average nail polish.  Don't believe me, just watch!

As you can see from this collage, there were a few tiny chips on Day 5 as a result of pulling keys off of a key chain, but this polish really stood up to a week's worth of pool visits, classroom cleanings, and general wear and tear!

This is definitely not a sponsored post of any kind, I am just truly impressed with this nail polish and I think that all of the fun colors will help you to create the perfect summer manicure!  Itching for some more nail ideas?
