Merci, Teachers

To all of my fellow teachers out there, Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!  Thank you for all of the hard work (and it is hard work) that you do caring for and shaping the minds of those youngsters that we love so much.

And the world is showing their appreciation today (and really all week) with some really great deals for teachers!  I've compiled a list of a few retailers and restaurants that are providing specials for teachers this week or that have programs for teachers year-round!  If you know of any others, please let us know in the comments below!

Deals and Discounts for the Occasion:

Chick-Fil-A: Grab a chicken sandwich on the house today!

Chipotle: Stop by between 4:00 and closing time this evening for a BOGO deal on burritos, burrito bowls, salads and tacos!  You know that I'll be eating a burrito for dinner tonight!

The Limited: Use #LTDLovesTeachers to nominate your favorite teacher to win a $150 gift card!

New York and Co.: 30% off for teachers (and nurses ahem, sister) with a coupon until Wednesday.  The online code is 1810.

Year-Long Deals and Discounts:

J. Crew: 15% off all year when you show an educator's I.D.

Jo-Ann Fabrics: Sign-Up for a Teacher Discount Card for deals this week and always.

LOFT: Register as a teacher to receive 15% off every day (you must show a teacher's I.D.)!

So many of the outfits I wear on this blog are appropriate for teachers because I show you what I actually wear in real life.  And let's face it, five out of seven days a week, I'm teaching!  Here are a few of my favorite looks from the blog that I wore for a day at school!

And again, teachers, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do!  You are amazing!

  1. One of my favorite service projects with my sorority is when we set up a table in the union with cards for people to write and send to their professors in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers are so underapprecated, and they 100% deserve a day all to themselves. Thanks so much for all you do and your investment in the future, Whitney!

  4. Whitney, you are amazing. I had no idea about this day. But I will let you know that Albania has a National Teacher's day and it;s on March 7th. It is a big deal here.

All of your Outfits are great. Love the first two in particular. And btw The Limited galso always gives a Teacher's Discount of either 10 or 15% off I am not sure, with an ID of course. And White House Black Market runs a special teacher discount and teacher coupons usually August 25-September 25 each year, in honor of the new school year.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog with Birthday wishes. You were one of the people I considered adding to my Birthday post. You could have been my 6th.

Have a Great rest of the week, Beautiful Teacher!!

    1. Thank you! I'm happy to know that Albanians celebrate teachers as well! Do you find, in general, that teaching is a respected profession in Albania?

Also, thanks for the updates on the teacher discounts. I hope others are reading the comments so they can learn about it, too!

And finally, I would have loved to be in your birthday post :) Maybe next year we can do something together for May birthdays!

  5. Nice outfits! I especially like the animal print dress with the denim jacket. These are definitely looks teachers could wear, or anyone in a creative business casual environment.
