Create28: Summer to Fall Transition

Hey friends! Happy to Co-Hosting with Carrie {Curly Crafty Mom} and Jill {Doused in Pink} for Thursday Fashion Files. Be sure to link up your great looks below. Earlier this week I styled shorts for a summer to fall transition and I'm at it again today but not with shorts. This time I'm featuring that little grey sheath that has already run many miles of looks for me. About a year ago I featured seven looks with it and that's exactly what I'm going to do today. The original post is found here. Here's the basic dress which I picked up at Old Navy in the summer of 2014 for $10.00.

  Grey Sheath Dress

It's a new year and new transitional looks for this October. Why not start with a little plaid? I'm trying it two different ways for two completely different looks. First up is a favorite plaid blouse that I picked up last fall at f21.

Do you love plaid on your feet? I wasn't sure but I'm sold. Great pop of color and pattern on your feet creates something different and even unexpected.

Sweaters are a perfect completer piece for this little sheath. Since the grey is completely neutral, it would be difficult to find a color that did not work well. In this type of instance, I recommend trying your favorite color or colors that will pop because the grey needs a little pizzaz.

I chose a jewel tone color. This cardigan is a little more fitted than some of my others and it makes a difference in how this sheath actually looks on me fit wise. I also really like this shade of purple for my skin tone.

What about an office/classroom classic look? This wide belt creates a waist and brings a good definition to the dress. This is classic, simple and chic in my opinion. Of course, a pop of leopard print never hurts!

We tend to love camo in all sorts of forms in this household. So camo it is for another look.

How about some sparkle? We all need a little sparkle and shine in our lives don't we?

Finally, a little femininity is needed to make this dress really well-rounded. A little blush with floral is another option.

Tomorrow Whitney is up with tights. Be sure to stop by and she what she creates for some fall looks with tights.
